But that apparently hasn't been the case for quite some time now. Not only has Banderas been scene seemingly cheating on Melanie while partying solo in Europe in Mexico, the Spanish playboy is said to have purposely driven Griffith to file divorce, so it wouldn't look like he was running out on her and the 17-year-old daughter Stella--even though he is said to have "checked out" of the marriage years ago. Actors Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith announced June 6 that they had "thoughtfully and consensually decided" to end their marriage after spending nearly 2 decades as husband and wife.

But according to a supposed insider, who spoke to OK! Magazine, Antonio hasn't been interested in playing husband to wife Melanie for years now:

 "The truth is that Antonio pretty much checked out of their marriage years ago.

"But he left it to Melanie to file for divorce because he thought it would make him look like the bad guy."
